Image in Text Photoshop tutorial

In this tutorial you will learn how to create one of the most popular and classic effect in Photoshop, Placing image inside text!

And here’s what the same image will look like when placed inside text: FINAL IMAGE

Step 1: Open the image you want to place inside your text.

Step 2: Select Text Tool Select Text Tool from the Tools panel on the left of the screen. You can also select the Text Tool by pressing the shortcut T on your keyboard.

Step 3: Add The Text With your Text Tool, Choose font and your text color, click inside your document and add your text.  I’ll type the word INDIA

Step 3: Drag the text layer below to image
If we look in the Layers panel, we see our newly added Text layer above Image layer, which is why the text is appearing in front of the image in the document:

We need to move it below image layer. Click on the Text Layer and, with your mouse button still held down, drag it downward, we also use the shortcut keys i.e. Cntrl + Shift + { or }

Step 4: Select the Image Layer and Create a Clipping Path
Click once again on Image Layer to select it and make it active. With Image Layer selected, then right click on the image layer and select Create Clipping Mask

You can also use short keys i.e. Alt + Ctrl + G

Step 5: Merge the layer Select the both Layer i.e. Text Layer and Image Layer, then go to layer panel click on the Merge Layer, You can also use the keyboards button Ctrl + E
