How to Create Scatter Effect in Photoshop

Step 1: You will need 2 images for this effect. Open 2 Images in Photoshop 1st image for foreground and 2nd for background.
Step 2: For the Foreground image Go to image - adjustment - match color to match the color with the the Background image.
Step 3: Go to source and select background image .
Step 4: Increase fade till half or more to match with background image colors.
Now we will copy image layer on the background image, Right click and select duplicate layer and select the background image name to make a duplicate layer on it.
Step 6: make another copy of layer 1 (front image) and Disable it (as shown in image below), select foreground image which is Layer 1, go to filter and select liquefy.
Step 7: Click smudge tool and stretch the image according to your project, and hit Ok button.
Step 8: Now we will create (black) layer mask by Pressing ALT and click left on add layer mask. (image will be deciphered)
Step 9: Select brush tool and use any scatter brush preset, switch the color to white and start painting over it. You can Click Here download spatter brush which is used for this project.
Step 10: After Painting with the Scatter Brush on layer mask, It will look like This. (check step 10 image)
Step 11: Enable the Visibility of duplicate layer (layer2), again add layer mask.
Step 12: After adding layer mask, switch color to black and paint from left side of the image to get the scatter effect on main image too.
Step 13: Now select the background image and make duplicate of it and Go to image - adjustment - desaturate and Decrease opacity to 50%. of that duplicate image.
