This Tutorial will cover How to Create carpet using VrayDisplacementMod in 3ds max for your interior project or Architectural purpose .
Step 1. Create a plane and set the Length and width according to the project, I set (Length-60”, Width-36”)
Step 2. Now apply>> “edit poly” modifier to Planer001 and click “polygon” from selection panel or click “edit poly” modifier & select “polygon”.
Step 3. Select top face of the plane and click extrude to give thickness to the carpet.
Step 4. Now select the plane and press m (material editor) & apply texture to planer001.
Step 5. Go to modifier list and apply “vray displacementMod” to the plane001. Select 2D mapping from parameters. Now in common parameters>>texture>>select grass displacement map. You can also change amount of displacement (Amount-0.5 cm for more baater result play with values)
Step 6. Now hit render.
